Spurs pre-season is stepping up another gear as the first team squad heads out to Los Angeles today ahead of their pre-season tour of the US where they will play LA Galaxy, Liverpool and New York Red Bulls, with the first match against Galaxy on Tuesday.
Team GB lost 2-0 to Brazil in a warm-up friendly before the Olympics starts in less than a week in London. Steven Caulker and Danny Rose both featured for Team GB, with the former particularly impressive in the second half, while Sandro scored the opening goal for Brazil. Highlights below:
And finally, not much gossip to report today – the main transfer wrangling is unsurprisingly about Croatian midfielder Luka Modric who is being courted very publicly by Real Madrid. According to The Guardian, Madrid lodged their latest bid last night for £24.9 million with add-ons which would take the total value to £31 million, while Modric might well be missing the US tour (article here).
